This promotional competition (“Competition”) is hosted by Penguin Random House South Africa (Proprietary) Ltd, registration number 1953/00441/07 (“Promoter”).
This offer may not be used in conjunction with any other offer from the Promoter.
The competition starts on 11 December 2024 and ends on 19 December 2024. All entries must be received by 23:59 (SAST) on 19 December 2024. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any entries that are incomplete, illegible, corrupted, or late for any reason. Entries become the property of the Promoter and will not be returned.
The competition is open to all persons aged 18 (eighteen) years or older, residing in South Africa, excluding the Promoter’s directors, partners, employees, agents, consultants, and their immediate families.
Participation by all entrants (“Participants”) constitutes acceptance of these rules.
No Participant may win more than 1 (one) prize per draw.
The prize is a LAPA online gift voucher worth R500 (five hundred rand). A total of 1 (one) prize will be awarded.
To participate, Participants must complete the online competition form before the closing date. No purchase is required to enter the draw. Entry into the draw is free. Only 1 (one) entry per person is allowed.
If any of the above-mentioned prizes are no longer available, the Promoter may, at its discretion, award another prize of similar value.
All correct, completed entries will be entered into the draw. The first (1) entry drawn will be announced as the winner. The name(s) of the winner(s) will be announced on the Promoter’s social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram) within 30 (thirty) working days from the closing date. The winner will be notified by email within 30 (thirty) working days from the closing date.
These rules may be amended at any time during the competition by notice.
The prize is exclusive to the winner and is not transferable or exchangeable, and cannot be exchanged for its cash value.
The winner must claim their prize within 30 (thirty) days of winning. If the prize is not claimed by this time, it will be forfeited, and the Promoter reserves the right to offer the unclaimed prize to the runner-up, selected according to these rules. The prize will be delivered to the winner’s physical address within 30 (thirty) working days after the winner has provided their physical delivery address. If any winner’s contact details are no longer valid, they will forfeit the prize.
The winner must provide valid proof of identification when claiming the prize.
The Promoter may make media announcements and publish the names and photographs of any winner(s), provided that any winner(s) may explicitly decline.
The Promoter reserves the right to conduct audits in relation to any winner(s) to verify their eligibility to win such prize(s).
All participants and winners indemnify the Promoter and its agents against any/all claims for any injury, loss, or damages, whether direct, indirect, consequential, or otherwise, arising from any cause whatsoever out of their participation in this competition in any manner.

The Promoter will use any data provided by the participants solely for the purposes of the competition, unless otherwise stated in the entry details. By participating in this competition, all entrants give their consent for their personal data to be used by the Promoter for administrative purposes related to this competition and for any other purposes to which the entrants have agreed.
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
